Brian Milligan Associates undertakes Workplace Noise Assessments to help employers fulfil their duties under the Noise at Work Regulations. Elements of a Workplace Noise Monitoring Assessment:

Observation of work tasks by an experienced occupational hygienist
Measurement of daily noise exposure (LEP,d) by personal dose badges
Measurement of worker exposure on specific tasks over shorter periods
Spot noise levels at critical locations and workstations
Octave band analysis may be needed to ensure correct frequency matching of ear protectors
